Chrysler has been making minivans longer than anyone, and the 2015 Town & Country shows they have the formula nearly perfect. Take a test drive at US 1 Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Sanford, NC and see just how luxurious a people hauler can be. If you live in Raleigh or the surrounding area, you’ll be surprised at how convenient we are.
Toyota excels at making dependable family cars as well, but the 2015 Sienna minivan just isn’t quite as good as the Chrysler.
The Town & Country may have a higher MSRP than the Toyota Sienna, but you get valuable features you were likely going to pay extra for from Toyota. Chrysler includes dual power operated sliding doors on every van, plus a power liftgate, with key fob controls. The base trim Toyota doesn’t even offer those options. Leather upholstery is also standard on the Town & Country, while the Sienna makes do with cloth on most of its trim levels. The Chrysler is a premium van without the premium price.
Chrysler and Toyota both equip their vans with smooth V6 motors and automatic transmissions. The Sienna has a 3.5-liter V6 with 266hp and 245 lb-ft of torque. The Town and Country gets a 3.6-liter V6 with 283hp and an extra 15 lb-ft of torque, which peaks lower in the rev range. When you are trying to get up a hill loaded with kids and luggage, every extra horsepower and lb-ft is welcome.
If you want a rear seat video system in your Toyota, it will cost you $5,000 more than in the Chrysler. The Town & Country has a rear seat DVD entertainment system standard in all but the base trim level, but Toyota doesn’t offer one until you get to the mid-level Sienna SE trim. Both offer top of the line system that can play two different programs too, but the Toyota system features a split screen in the 2nd row, while the Chrysler features a separate screen for the 2nd and 3rd rows.
The 2015 Chrysler Town & Country offers families the features and ride of a luxury car, all in a minivan without a premium price. Bring the kids down to US 1 CDJ in Sanford, NC and try one on for size today.View Inventory
